It seems to be marriage season for celebrities. There are so many eligible bachelors and maidens are getting married or announcing their engagement. One of such celebrity is Indian Canadian actress Lisa Ray who recently announced her engagement to management consultant Jason Dehni.
Her boyfriend Dehni proposed her in California’s Napa Valley.
The Toronto-born Ray was spotted at the age of 16 by a talent scout while on a vacation in her father’s native country and created a stir with her advertisement for Bombay Dyeing which saw her in a racy swimsuit.
She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2009, a cancer of the white blood cells known as plasma cells, which produce antibodies. In April 2010, she announced she was cancer-free following a stem cell transplant.
The green-eyed beauty , born to a Bengali father and Polish mother, feels like a “reborn” woman after her recovery and said that relationships are her top priority.
She was formerly in relationships with fashion photographer Paolo Zambaldi and Canadian businessman W. Brett Wilson.
Lisa made her Bollywood debut in 2001 with “Kasoor”, but received critical acclaim for her performance in Deepa Mehta’s “Water”.
